What We Do
Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy – a hands-on and exercise approach to decreasing pain, improving joint motion, and facilitating muscle activity.
  • Spinal Therapy – Treating back and neck conditions.
  • Overuse Injury – Rehabilitating those injuries that have occurred over time or due to repetition.
  • Sports Rehabilitation – Physical Therapy intervention to recover from sports injury with goals of returning to sport.
  • Post operative Rehabilitation – Working with your surgeon to follow rehabilitation protocols and guidelines to regain movement, strength and function after surgery while considering post operative precautions.
  • Aquatic Physical Therapy – Using the pool at the Athletic Club Fairbanks to work on motion, weight bearing, and strength in an environment that decreases joint compression forces.
Neurologic Rehabilitation – Working on function after injuries to the brain or nervous system to improve mobility, balance, and safety.

Medical Rehabilitation – Active physical therapy to regain endurance and strength after medical illness, surgery or heart conditions.

Please arrive for your first visit 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time to complete the paperwork if you haven’t already done so.

Your insurance card,
The physician referral, if you have one
If this is a work injury or vehicle accident, you will need to bring the adjustor’s name, contact information, and claim number.

Your appointment will last about 45 minutes. This initial evaluation will consist of an interview and a physical examination. Please dress comfortably. We can provide shorts if you are being treated for a knee, hip or low back problem. We also have gowns if we need to examine you for shoulder, neck or mid back pain. You are welcome to provide your own shorts, tank top, or sports bra if you prefer.

The physical exam will consist of a variety of manual tests to assess range of motion, strength, joint mobility, functional abilities and degree of pain. After the examination we will talk with you to develop a plan of care. Your physical therapy will include education on what is causing your pain and what you can do about it. We enjoy answering your questions and helping you to understand what is going on with you condition.
